The People

The Best Part of Running

Story by Fabio – Asics Frontrunner

Running has been such a huge part of my life that sometimes I wonder if I chose it… or if it chose me!

For me, running is freedom, discovery, and connection—with myself, with the world around me, and with the incredible people I meet along the way. It’s my constant, my balance, my way of resetting when life gets chaotic.

Some runs feel effortless, others make me question all my life choices… but that’s the beauty of it, right? The highs wouldn’t be the same without the struggles.

And speaking of struggles, one of my biggest challenges was learning to listen to my body instead of fighting against it. I used to think pushing harder was always the answer, but over time, I realized that true progress comes from respecting the process—knowing when to push and when to pause.

But the best part of running? The people. Running might seem like a solo sport, but the energy, the encouragement, the shared moments—they change everything. The high-fives in a race, the training buddies who pull you through tough sessions, even the strangers cheering your name… that’s what makes this sport truly special.

So yeah, running is tough, unpredictable, humbling—but that’s exactly why I love it. It gives back everything you put in, and then some.

Being an ASICS FrontRunner is way more than just running—it’s about sharing a passion, inspiring others, and celebrating movement in all its forms.

We’re a global team of runners from different backgrounds, speeds, and stories, but we’re all connected by the same belief: running is not just about performance, it’s about feeling good—physically and mentally. That’s why Sound Mind, Sound Body isn’t just a slogan, it’s something we truly live by.

One of the best things? The community! Whether it’s racing together, exchanging tips, or just supporting each other’s journeys, there’s an energy that makes you want to push further—not just for yourself, but for those around you too.

So yeah, it’s pretty special. Running has given me so much, and being part of this team makes it even more meaningful.
